But the reality is that all of the money is made before pen ever hits paper on the closing documents. Your hustle in the deal search needs to match whatever effort you’re putting into the rehab. Are you driving neighborhoods looking for distressed assets? Are you calling vacant homeowners to see if they’re looking to sell? What are you doing to find deals before the rest of the world sees them?
